Parents Inc teams up with Vodafone

Parents Inc and Vodafone have teamed up to proactively help parents and young people get the best from the internet by providing practical tips and information.

Announcing a 3 year partnership, Parents Inc CEO Bruce Pilbrow says that working with a communications company is a great way to really understand the changing landscape and keep up to speed.

“We’re delighted Vodafone have taken a leadership position here. We’ll be able to work with them to provide information that’s easy to understand and shed some light on key issues to help educate parents and young people.

“Parents Inc aim to equip parents with skills and resources that help them to raise their children, and with Vodafone we’ll be able to do just that,” says Pilbrow.

For Vodafone, the partnership provides an excellent way to reach parents and help them understand some of the exciting advances that are shaping the way young people connect with the things and people they care about.

“Vodafone wants to introduce parents to new technologies and enable them to get familiar with the ways in which their children are accessing information,” says Vodafone CEO Russell Stanners.

“Many parents don’t realise their kids can access the internet through mobile phones. There are many benefits to this, but there can be pitfalls as well. Vodafone is partnering with Parents Inc to provide information and advice on how to positively navigate some of these new areas.”

The partnership includes the development of an online education space; seminars for parents and using TXT messaging to help encourage parents and provide information. A school module as part of Parent Inc’s Attitude programme will also be created.
