Site description and audience
Geekzone is New Zealand's largest technology website (source: Nielsen//Netratings) and publishes news, articles and reviews as well as hosting some of the busiest forums in the country.
The Geekzone Forums are very popular with visitors sharing information, obtaining help from peers and discussing technical and other issues as they crop up.
Geekzone Forums are also read by technology company representatives in the country, who often post to answer readers' queries. Many of the topics raised in the Geekzone Forums and blogs have been followed up on by New Zealand mainstream media as well.
While retaining a focus on mobility, we are also following our audience and covering other IT as well, such as portable computers, digital media/entertainment, IT pro topics and more.
Our audience tends to be a mix of technology leaders and early adopters but also inquisitive members of the general public looking for advice and solutions to problems. The age spread of our readers is from the mid twenties to mid forties for the larger part of the readership but we also have older and younger readers. Currently, the audience is mostly male due to nature of the content, but this is slowly changing to a more balanced mix.
We use the latest Google DFP Small Business technology to provide advertisers with the best possible delivery toolset. Advertisement options include towers. squares and banners on every page, with options to mix the inventory, geo-target and create long-term campaigns.
