Many software developers using Visual Studio.NET actually prefer to use a Mac portable for their dev machine, rather than a laptop running Windows.

Here's one that decided it was a bad idea.

Me? I really like my Dell Inspiron 9400, running Vista Ultimate and VS2008.

I use my Dell Inspiron 6400 E1500 with Vista Ultimate/Visual Studio 2008/SQL Server 2005 and its my main development machine.
