Contractors.co.nz bid up high but snatched elsewhere

, posted: 16-Jan-2008 02:51

Bidding on yesterday's top releasing domain name, contractors.co.nz, had reached over $2000 on ExpiredDomains but they were unable to capture it.

The official highest bid was $2122.00 but bidding had gone higher - assumably the auction winner didn't have sufficient credit available to meet the top price.

Bidding was all in vain however as the domain name was snatched by a private buyer using Nominate's DomainRecover service, for a likely fee of just £59 (~ $NZ 150.00).

There don't appear to be any other big ticket domains coming out of the pending release period over the next couple of weeks.
