Harvey Norman win plural name

Harvey Norman Retailing Pty Limited have won a domain dispute over a typo of their company name, harveynormans.co.nz.
This case saw the owner of the name argue that their registration had been made on behalf of a Mr Harvey Normans in the UK and that the content of the website did not purport to be associated with Harvey Norman Reailing Pty Limited.
But without any evidence to support that story, DRS Expert Dr Clive Trotman was not convinced that the use of the domain name was fair. Further supporting this stance was evidence to suggest that the defendent, Woosh Domains Limited has engaged in a pattern of abusive registrations as other company names such as ljhookers.co.nz, dickhubbard.co.nz and minicooper.co.nz are purportedly linked to the company.
Dr Trotman decided on the balance of probabilities that the domain registration was unfair and that the name should be transferred to Harvey Norma Retailing Pty Limited.
It will be interesting to see whether any of the other companies mentioned will subsequently initiate complaints through the Dispute Resolution Service.
