DomainTalk back up, but where's the beef?

, posted: 16-Jan-2008 21:22

NZ's main (only?) domaining forum has been offline for the last two or three weeks. I assumed that the owner must have been running the forum from his home computer and had switched it off when going on holiday for the summer.

Today I noticed it is back online but there is only one post, "Domain Talk is back". Hmm, what about the hundreds of other posts that had been made over the last year?  Where have they gone?

It now seems that something went wrong at the host and that backups weren't in place. Let's see if people sign back up to the forum knowing that their posts may just vanish again in the future.
