To do this press Active, 1, 4, 0795 Select. (I think 'Select' needs to be fairly quick after the 0759)  

Note the typo above, should be 0759 not 0795

OK well this did not go well last night. For some reason, as soon as I connected the cable between the splitter and the MySky HDi unit, the other Sky box lost its signal and gave the rain fade message. I'm really confused now as this did not happen when I was trying it the previous night (except momentarily when attaching / unattaching connections).

I can't believe I'm beaten by this but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Seems to me like what I'm doing is exactly the same as a Sky Multiroom install essentially so should work.

As above, if only one unit works at the first location then you'll need to look at the settings of the unit that doesn't.

Possible options are:
wrong LNB settings, most likely.
2nd box has the right LNB settings but is not setup to power the LNB, hence it won't work when it's the only box connected.
The SKY card has been unconnected too long and will need to be reactivated in a working box over night. Swapping SKY cards should rule this out? (I'm not a SKY subscriber so don't know how this bit works).

The guidance given by others above is correct. Plug in the box that works and take note of the LNB settings. Plug in the box that doesn't work and set it to the same settings. That should get both boxes working in the one location. Then install a box to the second location and install your splitter as described earlier.

Hey Steve. From what you describe here it sounds to me like maybe your HDi box has got the 22kHz tone switch set to 'ON' which would mean as soon as you connect the HDi box, the LNB switches to Optus C1/D3 from D1 and therefore drops the signal, (this assumes a Sky 'Dual throat' LNB or course)

Could you connect each box seperately, one after the other, and post all the settings for each on the 'LNB Setup' menu.  That may make it easier to pinpoint what's up as it does sound like something to do with the LNB settings.

OK I am pressing ACTIVE, 1, 4, 0759, Select but nothing happens.

As soon as I press ACTIVE the screen says "Updating Listings... Please Wait..." and that's it. The SKY box itself blinks a light at each key press so I know it is 'seeing' the key presses, but no settings screen is coming up.

This is a nightmare! Any other ideas?

Ah. The correct sequence was Setup, 4, 4, 0759, Select. Set the LNB to match the other decoder and turned off the 22Khz tone and bang - both working.
