OK so I got my MySky and love it, the Cricket is looking great even if we probably won't win, but every 10 minutes or so the screen goes black for a couple of seconds and then cones back. Has anyone else had that problem? It's like the signal drops out.

Does it happen on all channels or only during the cricket? Could be just a transmission issue not related to your system.

Do you also lose audio when this happens?

No it happens on all channels, the audio dissapears for a second but comes back well before the video. Last night during the league test it spat the dummy altogether and I had to so a soft reboot. Still kept happening after too.

Maybe it spat the dummy during the league because it contains some australian components!Laughing

worth powering it off for a couple of mins and turning back on again, also check it's well ventilated, maybe it's getting too hot.

Do I risk losing anything if I do that?
The Sky tech is coming in the next day or so to install a 2nd decoder so will get him to check it.

Ours has frozen a fair amount or been unresponsive, did it again today while recording (as it has done before) and it seemed it just continued, not sure if it missed anything though.

I haven't had any freeze problems...luckily. The only problems I've had is when pre-recording programmes, on a couple of occasions it has cut the end of the TV show. Very annoying sitting through and hour or so of programming and you miss the last 5 or 10 minutes? The strange thing is they were running on time???Yell What would cause MySkyHDi to do this?

It appears my problem is between the MySky and the TV. When the picture disappears during playback on MySky, if I rewind and play again, the picture was there, so it can't be the MySky itself that is the problem, it must be something to do with the signal going to the TV. It doesn't seem to make any difference whether the program is HD or not.

Also sometimes if I turn the MySky off before I turn the TV off, I get all sorts of flashes of colour and signals.

In regard to clipping the beginning or end of a programme, the guy who set up mine (I wasn't home at the time) obviously used a setting that starts a few minutes before the program you have set for recording and after it is due to end. I haven't had to find the setting because it is already set, but if you check your manual, you'll find out how to make sure you never miss anything.

Sounds like an HDMI/HDCP issue. If the signal is momentarily disturbed the HDCP re-handshakes to establish a connection. Have a trawl through this forum and you'll find some other postings on similar problems. One suggestion was to go to Dick Smith and buy another HDMI cable to see if that fixes it. If not you can return the cable for a full refund no questions asked.

My set does the same thing albeit very infrequently.
