Ok so we had sky working all fine in the lounge and we could watch sky in the bedroom on a UHF channel and a second remote+Ir extender (and could also tune into all normal free channels).

We have since moved all the gear into the other lounge, what i have now is, the sky dish feeds into a splitter, with just one cable on the output of the splitter then goes into a second splitter in the lounge which I use one output for the "dish in" and one for the "rf in". Sky works fine (this is how it was setup previously too).

I have the "rf out" going into a splitter, with the output of the splitter going to the bedroom aerial jack, I can no longer see the sky UHF channel and the rest of the channels have very bad reception.

question is, does the normal outdoor antenna need to be plugged into the loop somewhere too? and also I have two types of splitters, one with an input and two outs. the other has an input and a tv and sat output on it.

can someone advise the basics of getting this setup to work?

Flamer.

The "splitter" with TV and sat as outputs is most likely a diplexor and seperates L Band and UHF band signals. These signals will have been combined at the other end of cable run with another diplexor.
