Yes you can although you may have tp change the LNB settings depending on what is at the bach. Cyril7 has produced a document telling you how to do this. Search for it if you need it.

There is nothing technical that prohibits this - just ensure that the LNB settings are correct.

Sky do have issues with such a scenario but that's not the question you asked! :-)

So i finally tested this and it all works 100% fine.

Are sky going to be able to tell its at a different address, on a different dish on same account?

Obviously i wont plug in the landline and order any pay per view!

Sorry to bump an old post just got around to doing this!

A friend of mine just takes his decoder when he goes to the bach - no problems in 3 years.

The only issue I see is if the batch gets burgled and the STB stolen/broken, then you need to explain to Sky how come it was not at the correct address.

sky do not have a problem with you taking  your decoder to your holiday home.

try the website...

There are two options in regards to setting up SKY at your holiday home.

  1. You can install a dish at your holiday home for a one off charge of $399. This allows you to move your primary decoder between the two addresses and pay only one monthly subscription fee. SKY will service your decoder at either address.

obviously if you have a dish there then its not a problem.
