Hello,
I've had a problem with pixilated images on MySky, it was fine for about a week and then recorded programs were pixilated with audio squeeks. Watching live tv was fine.

I called Sky and they asked me to use the reset button, that fixed the problem for about a week. then got the same problem again, so tried the reset again but this time it didn't improve the recorded programmes and made the live tv viewing worse. I called Sky again and they told me that the cordless phone was interfering with the boroadcast as it was too close to the Sky box. I have moved the phone and it seems to have cured the problem.
But.. I want my phone in the lounge and only have the one socket which is within 1 metre of the Sky box.

I've heard that a 1.8 or 2.4Ghz phone is a problem, but mine is a Uniden 5.8Ghz which I believe shouldn't be an issue. The MySky box is a Pace TDS-850NNZ. I have checked the signal reception and signal strength is full bars, but the quality strength is 2 or 3 bars (9. something). Does anyone know if the phone is actually the problem ?
Thanks.

I'd cancel my Sky subscription.

I had a similar problem with mine when my 5.8GHz phone was active. They're speaking truth. I shielded my cables better, and that seems to have sorted it (though I now can't watch some channels at all)

Zippity: I'd cancel my Sky subscription.

Laughing  sooooo helpful!

Maybe get an extension cable so that the base station can be further from the Sky decoder. Only thing with that is you then have an ugly cable running around the wall/floor.
