I don't think someone can count (and it may be me!)...

As far as 24-hour news goes there is only: Sky News, Fox, CNN, CNBC  + 2 future France 24 channels

BBC World, RT, TVNZ 7 are 24-hour news + 'other stuff' channels

That is 9 with at least one that I wouldn't consider a News channel any more (TVNZ7), what are the others that make 10?

Nah. France24 on Channel 100 is part of the basic package but the French version on 101 is gonna be $7 a month after August 1.

They now have online streaming in French and English at http://www.france24.com/

France24 Francais has appeared on Intelsat 18. DVB-S2.
