Have you checked your signal strength under normal conditions?
Maybe slight misalignment in the dish setup or LNB failing.
Had my Sky installion here in Auckland here for 5 years now and only on a few occasions have we ever had loss of signal and that was in really torrential rain and for very short periods.
If signal strength is down get Sky to investigate.

Hi, we lost signal for a few minutes last eveing around 7:30 also (Hataitai), we rarely loose signal and I rechecked the dish alignment only a few months back when doing some roof maintenance.

I have to admit the rain in Welly here at that time was pretty dire.

Lost it for about 20-30min around the same time as this post last night (in Tawa). We have so much stuff recorded that we just knocked a few items off the list. No biggy. It was shocking weather last night.

A few friends on Facebook mentioned lost signals as well.
Really was some bad weather.
