Anyone else have problem with the picture kinda stuttering or freezing for a bit on NRL games from Australia. Seems to do it quite a bit when they show replays.

Haven't seem it on any other program on Sky sport or any other channel.

(Watching it on a MYSKHdi)

???

Yes, I had exactly the same problem. I recently brought a new TV, so instantly thought it might be something wrong with my new TV. Checked all the other channels and they seemed fine. Narrowed it down to being a fault with Sky Sport 2 only (where all the league is shown). I have 2 decoders in my house, so checked it on the other decoder and that had the same problem at exactly the same time. Also went around to my Parents house and they were experiencing the same problem on Sky Sport 2 only. Rung Sky and as always the only thing they ever think is wrong is the decoder. Have emailed them a full desciption of the fault this morning (in hope that someone in technical looks at it) but are yet to receive a reply. I am glad I am not the only one with this problem as I have talked to others at work today and no one else seems to have noticed an issue. I am located in West Auckland.

At first I thought it was just one camera at one game but in game two up popped the same problem. :( It was VERY hard to watch.

Thanks for bringing this fault out in the open.

It was terrible last night. Stuttering all over the place especially in the play the ball. I called Sky again and they said I need to talk to a technician. After being on hold for 15 minutes they told me a technician would call within 5 minutes. They never called me back!

I have however found a temporary fix until Sky fixes it from their end. If you rewind for 2 seconds or live pause then start playing it back the problem is completely eliminated. I'm not sure if has something to do with a specific tuner or what is causing the live feed to be so bad when the recorded is perfect. Maybe someone with some technical knowledge could comment on that.

I do urge everyone with this problem to report the fault to Sky so they don't ignore it and we can get a proper fix in place asap. The more people that report the fault the more likely it will be fixed and not just put down to Sky's usual response "we need to replace your decoder". I don't know if this is as a result of a recent update that has gone wrong or something similar but it is really anoying and makes viewing very difficult.

Rang SKY but they didn't think there was a problem. *sigh* Checked at lunch time and all SKY Sport channels looked good so hopefully it has been sorted. Hopefully. ;)

Agh, similar thing happened tonight watching TV3 News. The picture was fine but from the sports segment the speach was stuttering. We were recording the show so rewound the sports news and it played ok. What's up SKY?

Cheers,

Just watching Deaker on Sport and whenever they show NRL highlights it goes all stuttery.

I've just emailed Sky.

Their reply will be interesting. When I called there was lots of "nothing to see here, move along" but since this topic started  I have been approached by three other people who have had the same problem.

Hopefully it will be right this weekend because last week it was horrible.

Thanks for the replies, good to know it's not just me.

And yeah live pausing or rewinding seems to stop it, thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I would rewind and watch it over and it would stop doing it....

Just watching St George vs West and the picture is crap.  Sky Sport 3 is ok though.  Still no word from sky.

Just had a callback from Sky. They insisted on replacing both my MySky units to resolve the problem. They said they have been having some software problems with particular units and need to replace them to resolve the issue. I am not convinced that this will fix the problem but am booked in on Thursday so will advise if it makes any difference at all.

I rung Sky last night and they said it looks fine at their end.  I checked with some mates around Wellington and they're having the stuttering issues too.

I told Sky that this problem is affecting lots of people but they didn't seem to believe me.  I asked them to get a tech to call me back.  Will see what happens.

Same, same at my place last night, looked bl**dy awful.

I'd been at Beervana so I thought that might be the cause, but sober wifey confirmed the picture was jumping and jittery.

Haven't bothered to ring Sky but will do so if this is going to happen too often.
