Hi All

Im in the market for a new mobile, and ideally would like one that comes with an MP3 player that can change tempo of the songs OR downloadable software for  compatible mobiles that will allow me to play mp3s with said tempo control....

Note i DONT want a pitch control changer, just the tempo.

Havent been able to find any generic mobile mp3 player software online so far.....

Only mobile i have seen that *kind of* seems to do this is  the Samsung Beat Box as it has DJ Beat box software on it. however it seems as if you can only change tempo on your samples not on your entire mp3 library....and also the rest of the specs for camera/touch screen seem naff...

Help!!

Pretty rare feature I'd say as most mp3 players are handled by the phones core software layers.

Coreplayer and TCPMP both support pitch but not Tempo and the quality is pretty awful (Symbian, Windows mobile)

My ipod has Rockbox instead of the usual apple firmware and Pitch works perfectly.

Tempo is hard to get in even pc realms.

I have a winamp plugin called Pacemaker that does it, and also Windows Media Player has it built in by default under 'enhancements' titled ' called 'play speed settings'

And if it can be doen for those the dont get why its so hard...maybe this is a reaso for me to relearn java again and try and make my own java player.....

Did you only look at the m3200 or the m7600 (beat dj) as well.
