I've been trying to convince my parents for a while that a Tivo would really suit them. They don't have (or want) Sky, and the Tivo seems like a device that would be nice and easy for them to use, and having support from Telecom would be useful too.

I went today to look online and try and price one up, only to find that the retailers who stocked them (Noel Leeming, Bond and Bond) no longer had them on their website, and no mention of them on the Telecom website any more either.

I asked Telecom on Twitter about it and they confirmed that as of July, they have pulled the product and that once stock is gone (which it now seems to be), that's it.

They have confirmed they will continue to support Tivo for current users however.

But it seems like the Tivo market in NZ is now dead.
