Hey all.

I have been googling for the past hour trying to find an answer to this, but the facebook settings can be so hard to navigate.

Is there any way to receive a notification by email when someone posts in a certain facebook group?
I see there are ways to receive a notification for certain things in your group of choice, like if someone adds you to a group, makes you a group admin etc, but for goodness' sake, there doesn't seem to be an option to receive an alert if someone simply posts in a group?

You think this would be an obvious thing to want to receive...
Damned if I can work it out Yell

I can see the setting for that without looking very hard. Try:

- Notifications
- Settings
- Notify me about: All posts
- Send an email to...

This is for a group that I am a member of, but not the admin. For another group of which I'm the admin, similar settings are available, along with a couple of extras from memory.

Oh, you're right! Thanks!

When I first clicked on the 'Notifications' and 'Settings' it didn't say that. I didn't have those options.
It said something else before I unticked "Send me important updates and summary emails instead of individual notification emails", and I didn't go back to that. It must have changed.

That's what frustrates me about facebook. You can click on something and get a totally different dialogue, depending on other settings.
