Topic # 111450 3-Nov-2012 22:18 Send private message

Hi all,

I don't seem to be able to post any comment on You Tube. Can anyone confirm they can - its coming up to 10:19 pm Saturday 3 Nov 2012.
I'll keep trying unless I get a reply, so it isn't just happening to me :)
I've tried all the usual things, changed computers, browsers, settings, but I can't even post to my own page.
What happens is I get an Error message and to try again, or the service is not available.

Update:
Lots of other people globally are experiencing problems as per Youtube Product forum

I guess we just wait.

Yes this has been going on for a while now. Surprised that YouTube/Google would allow this :/

Unable to access favorites. Very inconvenient :(

Ya, I've had grumpy YouTube today. Wonder if it's being caused by Sandy issues.

I've never had a problem posting on youtube. Make sure your account contains all the info required and then try again. Hope this helps.

All things are hunky dory now Millie. I usually post some comment on YT daily (I must get out more often)... yeah its the first time it happened to me, so I was a bit surprised it wasn't my settings as YT was blocking others from posting.

The problem with YouTube wasn't explained but it came right the next day.

Thanks to all who posted to let me know whats up.

Bit off topic, but indirectly an answer to the threads title question:

Sadly, yes, it seems anyone is able to post comments to YouTube. Based on the sorts of comments I regularly see on my own channel, I wish commenting rights were restricted somehow.
