DonGould:

Love to chat to the management and find out what their thinking was.  Really interesting.

Im sure the Aston Martin One77 driving Neil Graham is just waiting for you to gie your phone number so he can explain.....

DonGould:
Is this all just a have to set a market precedent that you just can't take on TM?

Er...no

DonGould:
What happened to the Tracy Marketing attempt that was also due to launch today?

If you mean Brenda Treacy from , List Sell Trade, then they launched last week

xpd: Anyone try negative bidding yet ? Think itll just glitch out to a blank page going by other "features" that have been mentioned so far...

A colleague tried... apparently it didn't raise any errors but just dumps you back into the auction seemingly without registering your bid.

Surprised it didn't 404 on him... that seems to be the catch-all error... a special brand of Wheedle-unREST.

Move along... nothing to see here...

Anybody know what model/colour car he drives? Will make a great image for the auction.

Unless somebody has a better idea?

I negative bid is not accepted - the input screen just stays there until a valid bid is entered.

Bit the bullet and signed up...

1) Entering the activation code gives you no success message, jsut dumps you at the login prompt - a message would be nice

2) Cant enter . in the search box (ie: trademe.co.nz or xpd.co.nz cant be searched - good one for selling domain names... not)

I wonder if it will be shut down while the work on the bugs with it.

Also I wonder if they actually hired a designer for it. The colours are terrible, and the layout and formating isn't great either. The top hover over menu turns orange when moused over, so gets lost in the background, but it isn't the same orange.

An Aston One-77 in black.  Passed by it one day on the road.  About as close as I'll ever get to that much money.

Just entered a bid of $0.01000 on the Trademe.co.nz auction... let me go all the way through except just dumped me back at the auction with no errors etc.

Who designed this system ? They have no concept of errors.... altho, it makes it look like a perfect product, "look ma, no errors!"... because you didnt code in error messages...

What I have noticed is that the viewcount goes up everytime the page is refreshed - I don't think Trademe does this. It just records a view once for a user - maybe one per day. It shouldn't count the seller as a viewer. Also, if I add something to a Watchlist I am bounced right back to the Wheedle homepage -the watch list is added to however.

Hmmm...Apostrophe's (and all other punctuation) disappear when you type them in the search box now. What about if I wanted to search for say...Lost at Sea by Bryan Lee O'Malley ? Does Wheedle hate the Irish??
