http://www.facebook.com/WheedleNZ  Posted a back link, so it might be interesting to see if they acknowledge the list of issues that the team here have picked up and post and update when they're addressed.

mattRSK: They should of pushed for a NZ owned, NZ developed site. What a load of crap, you can't come to the market like that, I won't support it.

Im sure youre a man of your word and have never ever ever purchased anything from the warehouse either right?

I'd almost bank my bottom dollar there is mysql in the background there.

Them trapping every error (including timeouts, SQL errors and internal server errors) with a standard 404 catch all message is really silly unless their back end logging is fantastic.

Trying to sell on TRADEME right now gives me this

Well at least it's funny, tells you it was a 500. I'm sure their servers are overloaded with people talking about wheedle. :D

I don't understand the need to outsource jobs to India.

Well not for how much money they have supposedly ponied up. No neither do I.
But yes, it's cheaper to get it done there.
DON'T get me wrong. I'm not a hater, more I hate seeing a job badly done. I would have liked trademe to have some real competition. A closed testing with people who knew how to test things and stress testing just seems severly lacking in this instance unfortunately.

Move forward, fix things, it's the only thing they can do.

I don't know how people are going to use wheedle when:

There is a lot of good clean fun going on here and also detailed discussion of security aspects and posting of errors. There is nothing wrong with that at all.

Keep in mind - if you perform any action which intentionally takes down the site for other users then you are crossing a line into something the law regards as vandalism at best and it will have criminal liability attached.

No one here has done or even suggested anything like that but I would hate to see that line crossed here so, I feel it has to be said.

richms: Im not getting a flash photo gallery, just a quite nice html one, which I assume they got from somewhere else since it works well.

Yes they are using Galleria. "NO PROGRAMMING SKILLS REQUIRED", their site says. ;-)
