I can only comment on the designs I have overseen, but no issues yet and there is quite a number, both stacked in one location and remote stacked, probably over 80 schools, some running for over 2yrs.
cyril7: Chorus through the RBI has been doing a stellar effort of rolling fibre connections to schools. I work in the SNUP program as a designer and our teams turn up at the most remote of schools to find Chorus have already dragged a fibre into a location beside the core cabinet or nearby, just need to get the N4L up and running so these small schools can get a $ sensible connection.

Hi Cyril,
We connect up Schools on the RBI Fibre offering (and can also provide VDSL2 where applicable) we actually have some schools who have had fibre with us for close to 10 years now, (although of course this is not the norm!) We have connected hundreds of schools on fibre already. but back to the point we have a number of Schools connecting to our RBI fiber offering right now at https://myaccount.snap.net.nz/signup/school
A very non technical comment - Surely the point of connecting schools to fibre (especially remote schools) is that they don't "Text Books". Might be a bit scary for some teachers, but this is called progress to a more efficient and cost effective medium.
