Slingshot ufb prices are up on their website
"Homeline & Broadband"
30MBit down/10 MBit down plans:
10GB: $86
50GB: $96
100GB: $106
250GB: $116

100MBit/50MBit is $15 extra, but plans are otherwise as above.

24 Month contract,
$199 early termination fee
Free wireless router.
Page talks about easyphone features (caller display etc etc), but makes no mention of included minutes.  With the plan called "homeline & broadband" (advanced/pro) - are they offering a pots line along with the fibre - ie not voip (WTF?)

Now that's out of the way hopefully they'll release some VDSL2 plans for those of us whose towns haven't been deemed worthy of UFB.

I'm assuming the $13 plan is a mistake, Otherwise I'll take it.





Other than that I am left with a few questions.

How cheap are these "CHEAP Data Blocks"?

What do they mean by "High Speed ADSL" in some of the plan speeds?

and finally...

Why are they only offering up to 250GB considering they have been making a name for themselves as a large plan ISP with their Unlimited ADSL plans?

I'm not expecting an Unlimited Fibre plan from them but a larger cap would go a long way as 250GB would have done me quite nicely before I went on their unlimited plan but now I'd struggle with anything under about 500GB.

On another note It is very nice to see a realistic ETF considering they usually pull out the copper while installing fibre so any later resident is directly forced into going with fibre.

comparing to the same sized ADSL plans looks like the 30Mb plan is always $15 more
e.g. ADLS 50GB is $81 but 30Mb fibre 50GB is $96.


but then in the FAQ it clearly says
"WHY SHOULD I GET SLINGSHOT FIBRE? Our customers will be able to get Slingshot Fibre for the same low price as they pay today, and in some cases even cheaper! Included in this are the same generous data allowances and free voicemail, caller display and call waiting. You'll have the option to pay more for faster speeds to unleash all the benefits of the ultra-fast fibre network."
which is clearly incorrect looking at the table (I'm assuming the ADSL thing is not UFB?), unless they have different pricing for existing ADSL customers.

... and Slingshot prices are back down.

The page is still in their menu, but gives a "Sorry" page. (http status code 200, but displays "500" in then html - identity crisis?)
