billgates: I am still sticking with XT till Skinny lets users buy the 120MB addon on it's own without buying the combo pack or they introduce a similar combo pack but with data mostly and few minutes or texts.

How about 120MB data, 10 minutes and 50 texts for $4/week Skinny?

Guys - I hear you on the data plan and will see what we can do (although we are a tad busy at the moment so it may not be straight away).  Keen to hear what you think is a good data plan - feel free to send me a message with your ideas as that is easier to track.  Also keen to understand how people who want data are using it - smartphone versus tablet.  Do you need straight data or with some voice and text?

STRAIGHT DATA would make Skinny our choice of Tablet SIM. For iPad 3G and other 3G tablets.

As a guide, Vodafone are currently offering $10/month for 512Mb (subject to a 12 month contract and requiring a base plan to bolt it onto) but if you were able to offer $2.50/week for 120Mb (no voice, no TXTs) I would certainly keep a Skinny microSIM in my iPad at all times.

Of course some people have use for voice and TXT also (ie. in their smartphones) but I'll leave others to comment about their preferred breakdown. When it comes to data only SIMs for mobile devices though I think what I've said above pretty fairly reflects what people want and also what is possible from a cost point of view.

Something better than the 100 megs for $10 that 2degrees offers and I would probably move mum and her new s2 across straight away. the move from a gsm phone to something umts is just showing how bad their network is for using data on, and the price is a joke.

something like the 120MB data, 10 minutes and 50 texts as suggested above for $4/week. Maybe bump it up to 15 minutes calling would be a sweet as deal.

I suspect in that case you would be better on a normal XT $20/month  plan of TalkTextData..

pretty happy with the $4 weekly combo
but would like to see data only plan, without the need of purchasing a base $4 plan.

Really impressed with Skinny customer service - My FREE Sim Card arrived today FASTPOST only the day after i ordered it :) With what people are saying about Data above i agree we want more data but not at the expense of texts! Most young people i know still primarily text. In fact most people i know young and old still primarily text - anywhere up to 3000 a month. So please Skinny yes more data but don't do it by cutting the texts!
