Hi,

My Nokia N95 8GB black nz vodafone got stolen last night from my work place. The phone is turned off. I have reported to vodafone and cops.

Is there anyway that I could get it back using technology? Is that GPS receiver in it any good in tracking the phone?

Please help!!

Not unless you had special software to engage the GPS and 'phone home'.

Its unlikely to be able to phone home if its barred.

However, you are probably better off claiming through insurance...

Best thing to do then is to contact your home content insurance provider and see if it is covered. It may have a higher excess but its better than paying full price.

Yep. thats first to do on monday. Do you think i should ring up nokia and blacklist it? I heard that if thats the case, the phone might end up in garbage or whoever who stole it might just chuck it in the river if it cannot be sold... ??

You need to fill in a blacklist form.Sign it and fax it to vodafone before they can bar it

Nokia NZ have nothing to do with this. They won't do anything

Blacklist form can be downloaded from the vodafone.co.nz site.

You will also require proof of purchase and Police report.

Did you buy the phone from Vodafone or Parallelimported?

Check weather Vodafone will black list Parallelimported phones?

Good luck.

N96 is like a N82 but looks like an N81

I dont think anyone here can tell you when it'll be release in nz

Even N82 isnt release in NZ and i wanted to buy a battery for it.Looks like I'll pay my dad to send one across

Hmm.The only difference I see is the two led light and more memory than the n95 8gb.Everything else looks the same
