For anyone interested, Bunnings Dunedin and I am guessing Bunnings nationwide (where there are stores) have 32 to 55" tilting wall brackets with inbuilt level for $39

Nice, I'd probably pick one up at that price! Is there a max weight they can take, what does the quality look like and can anyone in auckland confirm the stores here have them?

Maximum weight is 50kg. From the picture on the box they look ok, but haven't seen inside a box. Will go have a look at lunchtime

Your traditional out the side door of the factory that makes 'real' ones late at night after the production shut down using their own bits sort of deal.

Stamped steel brackets, with a spraycoat finish. Not ultra high grade threads on the bolts and no allowance for some of the slimmer tvs that require plastic spacer/washers only about 5mm thick behind them (to put you off using any but the same branded official bracket)

Come with a selection of other spacers however to fit a range of tv brands and sizes.

All the same, hold onto the wall and don't let go if you mount it right :) the securing bolts on the underside are a little funny. Quite thin which means when you screw them in they often bend or skew on an angle as they hit the mounted rails. But then they are only there to stop the 2 securing rails 'popping off'

For the price they are fine, similar to what you could expect from the likes of dynamix brand.

Just bought a 32"-63" bracket from Trade Tested online for $52 :(

I "trusted" the in-built level and the whole thing was out of whack. Used a proper spirit level and it showed how far out.
