Hi Everyone,

My name is Sim Ahmed, I've been a long time lurker but thought it was about time I joined the brood at Geekzone.

I'm a journalist working for Fairfax (I write for CIO Magazine, Computerworld, sometimes I'm in PC World, Stuff.co.nz, Reseller News, or Unlimited).

Without sounding like too much of a dating profile ramble, I'm into technology, internet culture, photography, and walks along black sand beaches :D

Hope to regale you with stories of all the things I learn while playing with my DSLR camera (got a 550d two months ago, and now addicted). I've started a blog on this and would love eyeballs to validate its existence.

Cheers all,
Simantics

Are we allowed to contact you with story ideas?

Yes definitely send stories my way: [email protected]

Just before you do, stop and think to yourself "Is this just a bit of marketing/ PR"? I don't want that.

What I love writing about is small NZ tech companies doing exciting things, startups, deployment stories with the client's view, and developers doing their thang.

Nah he was actually a bit of a knob. Made me sit under a super hot lamp even though I told him I had a fever.

Would not trade again, poor experience . :P
