Master Geek

Hi,

I am a "wanna be" Geek.

A tad on the older side as per my User Name but I like the challenge of Computers and gadgets - I use Linux Mint on my PCs.

Just bought a new Samsung 7 Series LCD TC and Panasonic HD DVD Recorder and have to now dive into sorting it all out - inclduing the spaghetti of my SKY box as well.

So far at least I can see TV but I suspect it now time to get the various antenna sorted so that I can enjoy the full benefits of my new toys. First "game" today - sort out the DVD recorder as I also love watching MotoGP/Superbike racing and it's on tonight while I sleep.

Trying to learn a bit about video editing and transcoding as well as screwing together a couple of PCs for family members.

For now I'd like a ponter to someone reliable to employ to sort the antenna install - preferably on Auckland North Shore.
