Howdy!

I'm a newb to geekzone. Well. I suppose I'm a bit of newb compared to others in technology altogether really.
A bit about myself.. I'm 16, male, from Napier (Good ol' Hawkes Bay). I've been in to computers for a few years now. I suppose I really started around 5 or so years ago. I know HTML, CSS, a bit of javascript, a fair amount of PHP, PAWN (If this counts), mIRC script, and I'm in the process of learning Racket (formerly plt-scheme). I've run a home server previously, but it munched on our very limited New Zealand bandwidth, so I rented a VPS for a few months. After having to have back surgery, I dropped that because of not being able to work and get money. I run windows 7 on my desktop, and 10.04 ubuntu on my laptop.

Next year, I'll be entering my last year of high school (hooray) and after that I hope to go to Canterbury and do Engineering, probably specialising in electronic or software engineering.

But for short term goals, I'm looking in to starting up a little community for gaming (including games like San Andreas multiplayer and minecraft) in my spare time. Oh.. And of course I'm looking forward to getting an Android phone!

I don't really know anyone on here, but so far this place has been a great source of information. Thanks. Hope I get to know you all a bit.

P.S. If ajobbins sees this.. I know you! But you don't know me. Ask your cousin Hannah. :)
