Hi There!

We have been told by a Toshiba Repairer that the cost to replace 1 key on a keyboard is $1500 as they need to replace the whole keyboard. I can't believe that to be the case, anyone know any differently?

Model Number is PT311A-00Y00Q

Cheers

Search on Trademe (usually the laptop's model ie Satellite L500 keyboard), keyboards average about $50-$100.00. Sometimes it is hard to source one key and easier just to replace the entire keyboard.

Can't seem to locate one on Trademe or any NZ store... you might have to try ebay.

Well considering I can send to to Singapore to be fixed for $500 I wouldn't consider it anyway, but seems like I might have another solution on offer.

Thanks for the heads up.

Probably a little late but looks like they're available locally and priced reasonably.

Considering you can buy a whole new laptop from about $500, including the keyboard. $1500 would buy a good brand new laptop.
