As I wrote in the last mailing sent out yesterday... If you are planning to buy one of the new Amazon Kindle (or anything else) through our order page for yourself or as Christmas gifts then you have to order now.

Some models are sold out with next delivery expected by mid November. Add to this the shipping time (if the model is not shipped to New Zealand you will need to use YouShop, Prezoom, etc)...

So if you're planning Christmas gifts now (and the plan involves these models), start moving... Last year Amazon Kindle ordered in December were delivered mid January.

The Kindles I ordered on Sept 26 arrived on Oct 5.
Of course, they were the older models, and the order was well outside the sily season.
Still, that's two xmas presents I don't have to worry about later.

Yes, if you order the old models it would be fine to get orders in by end of Ocotber, mid-November. For the new models this is not possible as they are already in backorder and they don't usually ship to New Zealand, meaning adding the extra shipping times for the forward services.
