Topic # 105886 13-Jul-2012 08:42 Send private message

At work we are on a Telecom ADSL business plan of 61Gig. As we are now doing online backups and some months our overuse  is in the order of 20+Gig we wanted to upgrade to 100gig. We have been told there is no larger business plan.
Surly this can't be correct.
Anyone from Telecom care to comment??

Also ran into that problem. Moved to Snap, now get 200GB a month and VDSL for ~$200 a month.

I talked to Telecom on a number of occasions to see if there was a greater plan, but we'd use the 60GB and then have 40-60GB of overage charges which cost us about $300 a month.

Move from Telecom to a better ISP. Try a business ISP like DTS/Unleash and get VDSL2 if you can.

Pretty sure you can switch to a residential plan if you like.
Obviously that comes with a different level of service, so it';s a decision for you if you want to trade that off for a larger datacap

If Telecom business aren't offering what you want, why would you not change ISP/plan?

Unfortunately that's the type of attitude that lets Telecom get away with not offering more options... no larger caps, no naked dsl, no voip platform etc etc.

I don't own the company and there's people above me who make these decisions plus we do quite a bit of business both ways with Telecom..

I was hoping that someone from Telecom and would chime in but looks like they're not. maybe I should join Facebook and ask them in a more public forum..

I've found Twitter is a great way to get companies to respond... most companies put almost senior management on Twitter who can solve almost anything.  Except maybe O2, who apparently put stand up comedians on Twitter.
