ajobbins: Might get my dad to change over.

This de-values his $40 smartphone plan even more. Even tho he has 250 odd minutes on that plan now, most of the people he contacts are on XT, so it would likely be the best option for him and have him $21 a month.

If he wants to save two dollars and wants more data/minutes, you could double up two combo packs for 120mins 10000 texts and 1gb of data.

just need to bear in mind that the 'free xt calling'  is a temporary promotion, so he will need to keep an eye out for when it ends.

How does your telecom appear if you have two of these packs?

Yet your tex to tell me of this deal says to sign up by 31/01/13.

Just got an SMS from Telecom stating tomorrow this goes up from 500 SMS per month, to "non stop texting", with a fair use policy.

I.e. unlimited texting for normal people.

P.S. I use 'unlimited' in the sense that you can just text as much as you want, without being a d*ck about it, and you won't run out. This is not a request for a holy war about the word 'unlimited'.

Yes that's nice of them, not much practical value for myself though having only used 5 of my 5000 texts so far  this month. Some bonus data would be nice though. Smile

Haven't reached limits on talk, data or texts yet, so no real affect on me. However, an increase in anything without an increase in cost is good. 3 smartphones are a possibility in the Christmas spend, they are currently on VF, but with improved handsets available on Telecom combined with this deal it may be time to change. If only there was the equivalent of VF's 'family' deal it would be a no-brainer for me.

THIS.
I probably use about 5 of my 5000 text per month. I use iMessage, viber, whatsapp for messaging these days.

More cellular data please.

Telecom (through staff referrals) are offering the $29 postpaid smartphone plan (100 mins a month more than $19 prepaid deal) with same text and data, with a $100 account credit, effectively making the plan $20 over a year, and you get more mins (just in case you need them). DM me if you interested. Only catch is that if you leave before 6 months, the $100 credit will be recovered / charged.

Then why can't you purchase the double up of the $19 pack? Or you can get 4GB for $70/80 depending on if you have a homeline with Telecom or not... You need more than 4GB eh :)

I work for Telecom, but as always my views are my own.

There is... It's called My Favourites.  Where you can for $6 add a Telecom mobile or Telecom Landline and talk as much as you want... Is that what you were looking for?

Plus I can do the employee referral if you want and get an extra $100 off a handset if you were looking to purchase one over and above what ever plan you decided to signup to if you wanted to move to Telecom using the employee referral.  Feel free to email me pl at telecom dot co dot nz if you're interested.
