I signed up for the Big Value pack as my TalkTextData valuepack expired the day after the Big pack was announced :-) I reckon it's awesome value.

Remember to cancel your "renewal" of your previous TalkTextData pack, you don't want to be paying for two... unless you really want to? lol

I just received an automated TXT saying the Data for the Big Value Pack has gone up from 400MB to 500MB - but I'm not sure if that is just for this 1st month or whether it is for every month.

It has to be ongoing as the packs are ongoing for telecom and the pack has been upgraded

That's correct... Just received the press release:

The recently launched ?Big Value Pack? just got better with customers now enjoying 500MB of included data instead of 400MB, plus 60 minutes and 5000 texts for just $19 a month.

Just looking at their postpaid plans
this new deal is better value than three of the postpaid plans, hope they get some increase.

The talk n txt $30, smartphone $40, the blackberry $50 plan all give you less for more $.

I hope these get adjusted?

My wife is locked in on contract to the smartphone $40, really annoying that a $19 prepay deal will give her more minutes and txts for less than half the price . . . . .

Needless to say, avoid postpaid if you can afford to pay for the full price of a mobile phone.

And, avoid postpaid completely.

although if you sign up right now for 12 months on smartphone $40 you only get $40 off phone, two months on prepay and your back at square one saving money . . .

Unlikely that post paid plans will be changed due to the nature of the beast. Lock you in for 12 or 24 months..

Untrue. You only get locked into a term plan if you want a phone subsidy.

I work for Telecom, but as always my views are my own.
