About to port 2 phones to XT ... one Galaxy S2 one iPhone 4 ...

What is the best way to check your balance?

There is no app?

What about a link?

That doesn't need 3g?

Or a simple USSD code like 2 degrees balance?

Cheers

Can text 'BAL' to 333 for a txt reply or go to telecom.co.nz/ytmobile in the browser.

If you are on the data network, you get signed into automatically, if you're on say WiFi, you need to be registered first with a password. (2 mins to set up).

I'm not on telecom but you can access your account details from a zero rated (free) website as long as your on 3G not WiFi.

I think from memory it is sphone.telecom.co.nz

Save that as a bookmark on your home screen and it'll work like an app.

If you want the mobile version: http://m.telecom.co.nz/yt

If you want the browser / full version: http://www.telecom.co.nz/mbbmeter

I work for Telecom, but as always my views are my own.

I really wish you guys would fix the favicon on the login page. It annoys the heck out of OCD Adam

I have it bookmarked, that'll take you directly to the page on your phone. I think it redirects to pwm.telecom.co.nz when accessed from a non xt connection and will ask for a login, but works either way.

Don't add the login page to your home screen, add the site itself, then you get the Your Telecom favicon - if you are connected to wifi/off the Telecom network it will redirect you to the login screen, if you are on 3G it will automatically log you in.

As Above, the two URLs I posted above are the two links you can follow depending on if you want the mobile or full version.

The internet apn is a directly connected internet connection which runs behind a stateful firewall which means you can only initiate connections outbound, no one can connect to you unless you have tried to connect to them first.

The wap apn is used for sending MMS (Photo) messages, plus if your phone isn't a "smartphone" per-se and it's built in browser needs some help to browse the interwebs and render / redraw everything the WAP Gateway which is the http proxy URL in the APN setting is a proxy server that detects the type of handset you're using and renders the page the best it can.

You don't need a password unless you're connecting from outside the Telecom network.

Not normally.

When you create your password you get the SMS and set the new password and set it.

Feel free to email me pl at telecom dot co dot nz and I can check both numbers.
