I sent an email from the Exchange Server to my Xtra account which was then forwared to my Exchange server.  Note the EHLO is the FQDN and not the company.local.

It may be that because your ISA server is sitting on the internet directly or your exchange is set up as a front end mail server that your IP and domain is that way. Unfortunately we don't use a front end server or ISA - our exchange is an internal box which then routes mail out to the internet.
