Ok, so currently connected to Telecom broadband using Linksys WAG160N ADSL2+ Router.
Our cabinet was recently upgraded to ADSL2+, but there are known issues with the Linksys routers not being compatible with the ADSL2 equipment installed in the Telecom cabinet. Telecom assure us that our line is connected to ADSL2+, so must be a issue with our linksys router.
So we are unable to connect to ADSL2+ even after upgrading to the latest firmware.
Telecom offer the TG585 Wireless gateway for $99.95, which seems like a fair price, and the benefit that its supported by Telecom.
Does anyone use the TG585? What other ADSL2 modem would you recommend around the same price as the TG585?
We have a linksys ag310 connected to a telecom cabinet. It has been stable with no problems with connections or dropouts etc. The only thing I have noticed is the slow upstream connection. It's currently connected at 17590Kbps down and 392Kbps up. Before cabnetisation we were connected at around 8000Kbps down and 800 Kbps up.
It hasn't made any difference to the Internet speeds we can notice...
Hopefully there will be a fix for this. I read that there would be one in the new year but it hasn't happened yet.
