What am I missing here, there must be something.  I live in central Auckland and just had Vodafone at the door with this deal:-
for $90

- 60Gb
-Landline rental cost
-ADSL 2+ MODEM
- switcher credit $150

currently with Telecom on Total Home Lite paying an extra $20 to give me 40GB = $103/mth, but when I look at Total Home I could be getting 60GB for $105/mth so how does that work - not even sure why I am not just paying the extra $2/mth or is there something I am missing between the two Telecom plans?

Then again why not just pay Vodafone and get 60GB for $90/mth??? it would not take to long to recover the extra $50 for the early termination.  Up till now I have always resisted but this seems like a good deal.

Would appreciate someone pointing out the difference between the two Telecom plans and whats wrong with the Vodafone offer.  (note we dont make Toll calls and calling other mobiles is not an issue)

I want that offer to come to my door, lol.
But I'm still not in their red zone so I guess I'm out of luck?
Anyone have any ideas if there will be any VF promotions before Xmas?

You don't need to be in the Red network Zone

Have you looked at Total Home Broadband from Telecom?

how is VF's speed reliability and speed compared to telecom? (please rate 5/5 as being equal to telecom and 1/5 as equal to slingshot)

+1 - Haha this made me laugh.

In all honesty I'm pretty happy with my Vodafone Naked Connection,  from Invercargill so I'm well out of the Red Zone. This is the main reason I still have my mobile with Vodafone. Rate it 3.5/5 cos there is always room for improvement. GZ has a few comments re vodafone International going down.

I know we all love to hate on telecom. But the fact is they are still the best option simply for support. They make things happen the fastest in terms of new connections. And also if you have a fault someone will be out very quickly. And yes I am allowed to make a call like this because I have done faults and talked to vodafone/telstra/slingshot customers moaning how long it took. When I turn up to a telecom customer they are surprised I am there as they only rang up yesterday.

As for International going down it doesn't happen all that often and when it does johnr always seems to be right on it. I have Vodafone Smart1 for iPhone (no longer available for signup) and ADSL ($100 plan) and I must say both are very good value for money and very reliable.

@codyc1515 - Sorry, just to be clear, I am very happy with vodafone Broadband $65 for 60Gb and in 12 months I have only experienced vodafone international going down once, just it was a very inopportune time.

Any comments on the difference between the Lite at $103 for 40GB and full at $105 for 60GB, it does not seem to stack up?

All Vodafone NZ support / Call centre staff are now 100% NZ based here in Auckland over 3 sites, Mobile and fixed line!

We will not get it 100% right all the time but we will try our hardest, We also have the Vodafone NZ forum which many Vodafone staff right across the business spend time on to help customers including, Customer service agents , Engineers, tech experts level 1 / 2, Marketing, retention teams, Escalation staff, Even the odd director,

Feedback is getting better all the time take a browse around the VFNZ forum

Lite also includes unlimited calls to one nominated landline number or telecom mobile.  Total Home Broadband does not.

Other than that (and the 20GB difference), they are the same.
