Does anyone know a easy way of transfering a voicemail from a Telecom mobile to a computer?

The phone in question is a telecom R54, although the voice mail actually exists at the telecom end not the phone end.

I know for a fee they can pull it off the VM system and send it to you, but the fee was higher than I was willing to pay when I wanted it done.

Yep, IIRC it cost about $20 (might be +GST).

It might be possible to send unanswered calls to a free 2talk number, which can automatically send a recording of the message to you via e-mail.

You dont divert the voicemail. .. you divert the call (when unanswered)and then when the call gets to 2talk it takes the message. use Nate's setup for voicemail to email

Good idea, now just to go back in time, set this up and wait for the call.

They wanted $50 from me about 18 months ago when I wanted to get a message recorded off. I would have got it done for only $20. $50 was far too steep!

Sign up to 2talk.
Enable call recording of calls
Call your Telecom mobile mailbox
You now have a recording
Run through some sound software to cut out the recorded stuff that is not part of the message
