Query:

I moved someone off Telecom Officemail to Google Apps, but mail isn't being delivered from some Xtra Customers. The MX records are all correct and it's been a couple of weeks now but still an issue.

Telecom used to be authoritative for the DNS zone so I'm wondering whether potentially the service hasn't been decommissioned completely and some Telecom / Xtra customers mail is still trying to be delivered to the Officemail Service.

Does anyone know the authoritative server addresses for domains hosted by officemail? is it Alien and Terminator? I just want to do some quick queries.

Thanks.

I had a similar problem before where pop accounts were being hosted by Xtra then switched to using own Email server and even through the MX records were updated the internal account was still there at Telecom so they said Xtra customers would deliver directly to the old accounts without even trying to do an NSlookup....

The solution was to get Xtra to fully remove the old POP accounts..

I've had exactly the same issue where the zone wasn't removed from the Telecom nameservers (which are recursive too!!!). Need to ring them up to get it sorted.

Thanks :) just got off the phone, they still had the domain there. It's been removed.
