Help desk answered and confirmed the problem is widespread. Suggested I wait 2 hours and recheck and call again if not working. Stated that it was an " authentication" problem.

Same problem here in Henderson, lights on router said there is ADSL signal on the line but no PPP.

This one sounds very major.

Strange, I am in Hamilton and no issues here, but friend also in Hamilton text me saying her internet is down. Was there any indication on which part of the country is affected?

There has been a major outage impacting many customers (including my own home connection :(

It's has been worked on since the outage started and I'll update when I know more.

I work for Telecom, but as always my views are my own.

Out in Christchurch too. Calls have started from customers with no Sip access and no visibility of vehicle tracking. Going to be a long day

Out in Auckland CBD for me as well. Red light on router.
Rebooted, checked connections... nothing...

The little things make the biggest difference.
