Today discussion links on the right hand side of the homepage are now opening in the same window on my Mac. Usually they open in a new tab. I prefer that they open in the same window as it is easier to "swipe back" than close a new tab. @Freitasm why the change?

Also I notice that the links always open in the same window my iPad. Doesn't seem to be any consistency.

Wow now they are opening in a new tab again! Must be Safari?

Links only open on a new window when using the auto-refresh, obviously to keep the frontpage intact.

When not using auto-refresh links open in same window.

On mobile devices we do not refresh the frontpage items.

There has been no change to this and it's been running for years.

The auto-refresh option is only available to logged in users.
