Cannot go to new site when on GZ pages (IE9 64 bit)

Why is it that when I'm on a geekzone page, if i type in a new web address it hardly ever goes to the new site? I always need to open a new tab to type in a new page ... (sorry not very smart here) Apologies for poor typing standards when on Samsung Galaxy S4

No idea. I use three different browsers and have no problems. Talking of which you don't give any information about the problem at all. What browser? What OS? On mobile or desktop? It's likely to be a toolbar you have installed - are entering the address on the address bar, or toolbar search? Seriously we can't even start working on anything without information. hey actually only happens on ie9 64 bit ... should've known that's the culprit for most of my misery :) win 7 no toolbars no addons Apologies for poor typing standards when on Samsung Galaxy S4

Working fine for me on IE9 Windows 7 64. Perhaps you should get an antispyware software and run a full scan? Also I suggest you run TrendMicro HouseCall even if you have another antivirus. weird the scan turned out nothing ... and then bam the problem was gone after being there for a few months (??longer) ... and then today it's back ... i have 2 laptops both running same OS and programs and both are the same ... not wanting a solution as i can always open a new tab for a new site but thought i'd put it out there ... Apologies for poor typing standards when on Samsung Galaxy S4

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) or run "iexplore.exe -extoff"

I found it was due to some of the adobe fonts I have installed, and a compatibility problem with Microsofts IE9 software, and they have no plans to fix it. So I downgraded to IE8 and that fixed it. IE is terrible software and I think the world would be better without it, and I think most people designing a website would agree, as it is a major frustration for many with all it's quirks.
