It's really hard to trim quotations when it's all strung together as a single line with html <br /> tags littered throughout.

would it be possible to have the quoted text parsed a bit before it's dumped into the textarea, perhaps by replacing <br /> with \n ?

It is only a problem if you are not using the rich text editor. But will look into it.

Alsi can we have quote in personal message replies.

Also I'd like to vote that bringing back URL detection so I don't have to manually add urls.

Well I guess if it's nice and short and only contains a few points, but it would be more consistent and easier to quote.

Agreed, BBcode *is* easy, but somewhat annoying when it's easy to automatically detect URLs in text and automatically hyperlink them. BBcode is a must when you want to display something else as the link instead of the URL of course.

So yeah, +1 from me as well.
