It'd be really handy to have peoples city available on the main conversation pages when you're replying to questions, as people often want advice that requires a local solution.

It should be optional, as not everyone will want to share that information.

I agree with you 100%. I often have to ask people where they are from in NZ.

Most people don't enter anything. And yes people who ask for help but don't provide a minimum of information is annoying too.

If it was visible on the forum threads maybe more people would enter it? The regulars probably would anyway.

I've asked about this before also. Personally find it useful on other forums, especially for buy sell type things or group meet ups, gives you a gauge of how many are in the area.
