I just saw a subscription fail because of my credit card, odd, I had funds in it, I use PayPal and buy stuff through it on an almost daily basis, but the cost they tried charging me was alright I thought at $60 -

But when I tried buying a subscription through the website the cost was actually $25, BARGAIN! Since I get more than $25 of value out of this site, possibly special?

But, for long-time subscribers like me who just try and get it to come straight out each year we miss out on these specials, I'd say there are possibly other old subscriptions floating around waiting to be renewed but at old pricing.

Just thought I'd give a heads up - I encourage you to subscribe - it's well worth it, and especially at $25 there is no excuse not to.

I sent out a few emails over last year announcing the new price and recommending existing subscribers to cancel and create a new one. Even created a discussion here as well.

Paypal automatically renew subscriptions on the original price. It may fail if your credit card expiry is past or any other reason - merchants do not receive an explanation, privacy and all, so I have no idea why it was not approved.

I have seen failed transactions going through on new attempts a few days later. You should have an email telling you what happened. If the transaction the subscription his not automatically cancelled. Check in your Paypal account that though you don't have two active subscriptions now.

As for the emails, if you don't accept our mailing list emails then you wouldn't have receive those as we respect the options in the profile.

Ah right, that explains it! I did receive an email asking me to subscribe but as these go into another folder I may have not read it - a bit of a bonus anyway, thanks for that!
