I'm having trouble adding a photo to a post..

Clicking the insert/edit image button brings up the dialog window with the image URL and description fields.

I input the following url to add an image:
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/imagessubs/blogfb00484aea5abe979ae0f3e6f8a6ba15.jpg

and then a broken file icon is shown in the editing pane, with no image.

No matter how ard I try I can't get a second entry in competitions..!   what am I doing wrong?

That's because there's an extra space at the end of the img link you are inserting...

You have a space at the end of the image url...

I'll try again :)

Thanks..  Seems to occur when you drag and drop to highlight the link url and then copy and paste.

I should have just right clicked and done 'copy link location' instead.. cheers

Really it should remove leading and trailing whitespace from anything pasted as a links. Browsers have for ages as its easy to get a rouge tab or space when copying things.
