Here's one for you

The 'Back One Page' functionality has stopped working on some Geekzone forums

From at least this forum, and the DVB-T/DVB-S forum you can't get back to the main forums page

But you can from the Telecom one...

You mean the back button? Working fine for me. Are you using an ad blocker?

Yes I do mean the back button

I'm using the latest firefox - but with no specific ad blocker

I think you may be onto something there - it appears the issue may be intermittent, as I've just managed to get back to the main page from here, whereas I couldn't do so earlier...

Edit: I've just tried again, and now its not working again

You can get it now if you really want it:

ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/8.0/win32/en-GB/

I will wait. For several minor versions actually ; ).

I have had this issue with Firefox only. Doesn't happen with Chrome , IE, Safari or Sea Monkey.

Umm good luck with that. Mozilla do not do minor versions any more having moved to a rapid release cycle so they may have a very minor one like 7.0.1 but then will go straight to 8.0. Which is why they have gone from 3.6.x to 8 in a year.
Anyway somewhat off topic. I do not have any issues with using the back button. Firefox 7.0.1.

mattbush: Its only started happening very recently.

What's also only just started happening recently, is that when I tap anywhere but exactly on top of a link then I am always taken to the Amazon Kindle page (Stock Android and Dophin Browsers) on my ASUS Transformer.  I know nothing about webpage construction but the GZ site is the only one affected.  I recognise that a touchscreen may be less precise (or ASUS' iteration of it) but it seems strange that it only affects GZ.

This has nothing to do with the topic, and is being discussed in another thread already.

I've also noticed this issues just in the last day or so.
I run Firefox 7.0.1.
It doesn't happen all the time.

I have just upgraded to Firefox 8.0 and it is still not allowing the 'go back one page Button' to work.

Doh!  Sorry I obviously didn't use the right search terms before I posted.

No idea, I'm just curious about this:

The standard browser 'back' button next to the address bar?
Is it greyed out or anything like that?
Does the button behave perfectly normally but just no back action?
Is there any redirect happening back to the current page that you can see?
