Maybe this is one for JohnR.

All this week Ive had a huge number of dropouts (am having one right now) and have had numerous calls going straight to voicemail (one has just happened now, whilst my phone says its connected). For the last 15 mins its been up and down like nobodies business.....oh its back again now. Ive also had trouble sending texts today and one my wife sent to me didnt arrive until the next day.

John, you mentioned there would be upgrades coming soon, but I doubt its anything to do with that is it ?

Im in Otaki Beach :)

John is landing in Japan today for a holiday... Might be a bit slow to reply here.

When your phone says it's connected is it actually connected to Vodafone?

All 3 networks allow call camping for emergency calls, so if you are in a low/non coverage area for your home network your phone can camp onto another network and will show signal bars and that emergency calls only are allowed.

Haha, enjoy Japan John...I only included him as he commented on another thread saying there were to be upgrades around here soon.

Its coming and going at the moment. Text have been arriving and Ive been able to send when it says its connected. The call which went to voicemail, I had to call three times because I kept getting disconnected.
