I rang vodafone and had the 15mb limit on my email increased to 15mb, is there any way to have the limit increased anymore? 25mb is not all that much. Thanks.

25MB has been the limit for quite some time, I heard rumours they were taking it to iHug eails servers but this has not come to fruition, I think it's still a superb service for free though it's a vey old interface and a bit of a pain to log in to check the email. Also the Onebox costs must be horrendous! If you want to make it easier login the regular way then set a "pop3 password" once in the mailbox. from there on, just head to www.vodafonemail.co.nz and log in that way using the pop3 password instead of the usual one. remember to log in the usual way into the vodafone.co.nz website every 60 days though or the system may delete your email accont.

With so many options offering 25GB or more - Microsoft Live, GMail - why bother with an ISP provided 25 MB? It's a thousand times less than other free options. You can even get you own domain and have it hosted with those other providers, for free... It surprises me seeing companies with websites and email addresses pointing to an ISP-provided mailbox. It just doesn't look professional at all. For end users the advantage is that you can change ISP without changing your e-mail address ever again. Yea, true, your quite right, though I use imap so i can use emails from my cell phone and laptop at the same time. I believe gmail has imap, but I know yahoo doesn't and not sure about windows live. Anyway, I'm with vodafone mail and it's a shame I can't get anymore storage. And the layout could do with an upgrade!

The other thing is, is there any way to get something like a [bulk] tag before the message? I get quite a lot of spam, I know the vodafone mail has a good anti-spam, but I don't go in there much as I get my emails through outlook and my phone.

I'd personally have forwarding or have gmail pop3 checking the account, and consolidating all my addresses into one place where i can archive them and freely access using pop3 or imap. I've moved over to gmail so i dont get that email trap which prevents people from changing ISP's, since it becomes a hassle.

Thanks for your help. If I was to change emails, it would probably be to gmail since they support imap and have good storage. For now though I'll just stick with vodafone email. Just curious, How can I set to download "headers only" on outlook 2007? I looked on google, and I found how to do it, but for imap the options blanked out. Does it automatically do it on imap or am I missing something?

You can still keep the vodafone address. In the gmail options, you can add pop3 accounts, so you can simply put in the vodafone pop3 settings as you would with your mail client. Gmail then willa automatically check your vodafone email, and tag it with [vodafone] for example if you wish. Then you can store every one of your emails on the server and use their imap support. Its useful when you have emails are for different purposes (eg professional/business, website and personal), which you can aggregate in one place, but still be able to send emails from gmail as if they were from vodafone. I did this and i slowly transitioned to non-isp based so i was no longer tied down. Now if only i could get my hotmail emails there also....
