When you port a Vodafone prepay number to another company, what happens to the sim? Will it get another number? Can you reactivate it? What happens to the credit?

it will not get another number

No you can not reactivate it as you ported the number away

As someone who uses a few SIMs I think it's a real shame that Vodafone refuse to re-use SIM numbers (I'm sure someone must have invented some reason for this at some point - but it makes no sense to me!).

And I note that Telecom ARE allowing XT SIMs to be re-allocated - which is most useful.
